MYOB Acumatica Payroll Security: 2FA and Log-in Requirements

1 min read

The log-in process for MYOB Acumatica Payroll (formerly MYOB Advanced Payroll) changed on 30 September 2024 to provide additional security. Here is how it works now.

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has introduced new security requirements for software that manages ATO-related data.

To comply with these requirements and provide an enhanced level of security, users will be required to log-in using two-factor authentication (2FA).

The change applies to Payroll Admin users and Employee Self-Service (ESS) users.

What changed?

Since 30 September 2024, the log-in process works like this:

  • 2FA will be the mandatory method when logging in.

  • Users will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.

  • Log-in will be required every 24 hours.
